The Weinstein Trust Collection started in 1978 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY where I was a child buying, reading and selling comic books to my fellow school students for a profit which I used to buy/sell more books. I knew the importance of collecting key books in pristine condition then storing and protecting them.

I remember buying my comics from the corner candy store (119 Lee Avenue), Grand Wholesale Book (659 Grand Street), Brooklyn Navy Yard Exchange Store, Koch Comics,  Ruby's Book Sale (119 Chambers St), Passaic Book Center (Passaic NJ where I would buy 50-book packs for $20), mail ordered from Mile High (Boulder, CO), J&S Comics (Red Bank, NJ). When eBay & CGC started I immediately became their customer, so most of my old label certified books are from my childhood.

I consider myself primarily as a collector of key vintage comic books from golden to modern age. My collection currently stands at approximately 1000 certified slabbed and 10000 raw uncertified books. The majority are Marvel or DC high grade keys, classic covers (Kirby, Neal Adams, Romita, Ditko, Steranko, Severin, Byrne, Wrightson, Dave Stevens, McFarlane, etc..), or iconic superhero battle covers. I continue to use the proceeds from my sales to reinvest back into the collection by buying, restoring and ultimately certifying books. My goal is to slowly restore and certify the collection. Sell some duplicates and acquire new "holy grails" and "blue chips".

Now that I am retired, I can devote more time to collecting/selling books again, enjoying this hobby as I once did as a child. Hopefully this collection will eventually be entrusted to my children for them to enjoy as well.
